Mutation Creation

In this game, you will learn about how and why DNA mutations occur during cell reproduction. You will be challenged to match appropriate nucleotides making up a DNA strand. Through the use of a DNA replication simulation, you will learn about substitution mutations, insertion mutations and deletion mutations. In between game segments, information is provided about what mutations are and what causes them.

Help your character escape! In this game, you are a chromosome and must travel to collect supplies so that you can open a door. You must collect three batteries so that you can light your flashlight. Once you've lit your flashlight, you will be able to find the key to the door to reach the next level. You'll answer questions about DNA replication, heredity, and mutations along the way.

Oscar's World - Gene Mutations

In this game, you will learn about genetic mutations by playing through several mini-games. You will organize the steps of meiosis and mitosis, match base pairs of DNA, model gene sequence mutations, and calculate percentages of autosomal recessive disorders. Once you have completed all the activities you will progress to Arcade Mode, where you will control your character and show your knowledge by answering multiple-choice questions.
