Ecosystem Stability

What is an ecosystem and what does it need to thrive? We know all living things need food, water, shelter and space. But, something that some people forget is that living things depend on the community of other living things around them to be successful. All living and nonliving things are a part of a system. A system is a set of things that work together, like the living things in this tree! For the survival of all of the living things in this tree to stay healthy, it needs to stay stable. When I say stable, I mean it cannot experience large changes for it to stay healthy.
